Jonathan Friedman concentrates his practice in the area of Real Estate and Business Law.

Mr. Friedman's real estate experience includes representing and advising clients in the sale, acquisition and leasing of residential and commercial real estate. Mr. Friedman's Real Estate practice also encompasses zoning and land use law, short sale representation and bank representation.

Mr. Friedman's Business Law experience includes representing and advising clients in the formation and dissolution of business entities. Mr. Friedman also represents physicians and dentists in the formation of their private practices, as well as the preparation and review of their employment agreements and shareholder agreements. Mr. Friedman's Business Law practice also encompasses contracts, including employment and consulting agreements, franchises, the purchase and sale of businesses, and other business related transactions.

Mr. Friedman joined Charny, Charny & Karpousis in September, 2007. Prior to joining Charny, Charny & Karpousis, Mr. Friedman was a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Charles W. Dortch, Jr., Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, 2006-2007.

Mr. Friedman earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where he served as the Chief Production Editor of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review, and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. Mr. Friedman's honors in law school also included receiving the Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law, and Honorable Mention Awards in the Legal Practice Skills Best Brief Competition and the Best Oral Advocate Competition. In addition, he appeared in the Boston Housing Court as a student attorney through Suffolk University Law School's Housing and Consumer Protection Clinic, where he represented indigent clients in landlord tenant disputes.

Mr. Friedman is a member of the Camden County Bar Association. He is a founding member of Emerging Young Professionals, a forum for young professionals and business people to meet others in a traditional, face-to-face networking environment. Mr. Friedman is also affiliated with the South Jersey Young Professional Association and the Brandeis Law Society.

Mr. Friedman speaks to groups about such diverse topics as the legal protection of buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions, the benefits of legal checkups for businesses, and choosing the right form of business entity for new businesses. He also speaks to medical and dental professionals entering private practice regarding their employment and partnership agreements.

Mr. Friedman was raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He and his wife Carly currently reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
